11. Research & Progression
The research system allows players to customize and accelerate their growth across military, economy, defense, and utility branches.
📚 Research Categories
- Military: Unit attack, defense, speed, formation bonuses.
- Economy: Resource gathering speed, trade efficiency, upkeep reduction.
- Defense: Wall strength, trap durability, garrison bonuses.
- Utility: March slots, scouting strength, healing speed.
⏳ Research Mechanics
- Each project requires time and resources (dates, clay, silver).
- Speed-ups and VIP benefits reduce time needed.
- Some branches unlock only after certain building levels.
🔒 Progression Gates
- Tier unlocks (T1–T5) are gated behind base level, specific tech branches, or event participation.
- Players can specialize in specific roles (raider, trader, defender, etc.).
